Starting in 1995, At just 7 years of age Ali'i Shell Lei began picking Kahealani shells with ardent fervor in hope of one day creating a big amazing lei like he saw in Linda parks book. Kaimana sews the leis on kauai with shells brought over by Ni'ihauan families. in addition he makes jewelry with shell from Kaua'i as
